Cotton loop knit fabric (French Terry) is a soft, comfortable, and slightly stretchy fabric with elastane in the composition.

On one side, the fabric is smooth, while on the other side it has a small loop structure that provides extra comfort and warmth.

This fabric is ideal for sportswear, casual wear, hats, sweaters, pants, and children’s clothing.

Loop knit fabric is breathable and ensures natural air circulation, making it a great choice for both cooler and warmer days. A practical and durable fabric with enough stretch for comfortable everyday wear.

Sewing tips:

When sewing with cotton knit fabric, it is recommended to use Jersey or Stretch needles. If the knit fabric is very stretchy, it is recommended to use Super Stretch needles, which are specially designed for elastic fabrics. These needles have a rounded tip that allows them to easily slide between the knit fibers without damaging the fabric. Needle size is usually 70/10 or 80/12.
